FAQs

Can I use the adjustable t-bar or bicycle seat from the KSG/CT Ped-o-Pul on the Contrology Ped-o-Pul?

The components of the KSG/CT Ped-o-Pul are not compatible with the Contrology Ped-o-Pul. The KSG/CT Ped-o-Pul has been pre-drilled to accommodate the adjustable crossbar and bicycle seat and the pole has a wider diameter than the Contrology pole.

The pole on my Ped-o-Pul sways a little. Is there some way I can make it more secure?

The pole on the Contrology and KSG/CT Ped-o-Puls are intended to sway a little. The movement requires students and practitioners to work the stabilizing muscles to stabilize the pole.

Perform regular safety and maintenance checks. Regularly inspect the screw attachments at the base to make sure they’re secure.

Can I use parts from the KSG/CT Ped-o-Pul on the Contrology version?

No, they bicycle seat and adjustable T-Bar are specific to the KSG/CT Ped-o-Pul.

The pole sways slightly—can I make it more stable?

Ensure all bolts are tightened. The ped-o-Pul, however, is meant to sway. The user must use their center to stabilize the apparatus.

The T-bar feels too high for my height. What can I do?

Add spring clips to adjust the height. Joseph Pilates used this method himself.

What’s the benefit of using the tilting base?

It enhances connection to the back body and vertical pole, increasing body awareness and stability.

What’s the purpose of the bicycle seat?

It provides a stable seat for those who prefer or need to work in a seated position. It's one of the few ways in the system to receive resistance directly from above.
